FosterREG aims at enhancing public capacity at local, regional and national levels to plan, finance and manage integrated urban regeneration for sustainable energy uptake, through capacity building, promotion and articulation of effective multilevel coordination, and national as well as European network strengthening. These objectives will be achieved through public stakeholders’ engagement in joint analysis and knowledge development activities, as well as creation and dissemination of targeted training materials and activities across Europe. TECNALIA y Visesa han celebrado conjuntamente durante la Semana Europea de la Gestión Avanzada la jornada “Capacitación y coordinación entre administraciones para la Regeneración Urbana”.
TECNALIA and Visesa have jointly held during the European Week of Advanced Management the workshop "Training and coordination between administrations for Urban Regeneration".
After nearly two years of collaboration between ten partners from Spain, Croatia, Poland and the Netherlands, the FosterREG project is coming to an end.
The FosterREG culmination was the project’s final conference organized on the 11th of May 2017 as a part of Zagreb Energy Week.
For enhancing public capacity at local, regional, national and European levels, networking is crucial. Beside, in order to ensure integrated urban regeneration for sustainable energy uptake, the cooperation between different stakeholders is necessary, not only through multilevel coordination but also through horizontal linkages.
Increasing energy efficiency awareness and enhancing funding schemes and financial instruments were the main issues addressed in the capacity building plan specifically developed by the FosterREG Spanish cluster. These were identified as key issues through collaborative analysis carried out in the first part of the project. A brief summary of actions performed by the Spanish cluster and their conclusions are presented below.
